Gull Lake and snow capped mountains
Gull Lake is a beautiful lake on the June Lake loop in the eastern sierras. Gull lake loop has a nice hike around the lake that the kids can go on. You will start your hike by the Park. Next stop along your hike will be some old forest homes they are interesting to look at. As you continue along the path you will go by some fancy condo's that you wish you owned. They have a great view. I wish i had one but i will stick to my tent. As you come up to the marshes look out and watch the red wind and yellow headed black birds playing. Some time you can even find some deer out there grazing. You can not get across the marshes tell you get close to the dirt road. When you get to the dirt road you can turn towards the lake or continue on the trail. I like the lake route. There is a dock there that always seems to have someone fishing. When you go over the hill you will come upon a beautiful pine tree. Make sure to bring your bathing suit and take a swing out into the lake and get wet. Next stop is the Camp ground the smell of smoke and marshmallows is always the air. When you get to the Marina sit down and enjoy a free bag of popcorn and grab a drink or sandwich. You can watch the fish or the fisherman because your almost done. I hope you enjoyed your hike around the lake because your almost done. last stop the park for the kids to play at before you head out. to your next stop.
